USB-C: The future of electronic industry!
Most of us are tired of changing the power adapters since the
evolution of technology. We need to switch different adaptors to power up
different electronic devices like smartphones, laptops, printers, monitors etc.
But what if there was only one adapter which is smart enough to power up heavy
duty devices like printers and monitors or to power up low power devices like
smartphones, tablets etc. Yes this is possible in 2017 and the years to come.
USB technology has
upgraded to a new level, we call it USB 3.1 or simply USB-C or USB type-C. This
technology gives us freedom to charge our laptops, smartphone, tablets, power our
earphones etc. and can be used to juice up heavy devices. USB-C is already
popular in new smartphone devices like Google
pixel, Samsung galaxy S8, OnePlus5 and many other flagship
devices. Smartphone industry now understands the future of USB-C and is now enhancing
the technology to make your life easier.
Unlike its previous generation, USB-C is reversible. So you
can plug it in the right way in first try and every single time. USB-C comes in
many variants like Thunderbolt (designed by Intel and made specifically to
attach peripherals to a computer), lightening (designed by Apple and made
specifically to connect and charge low power accessories like iPhones, iPods,
iPads etc.). They all are pioneered by different manufacturers for specific
purpose. This makes it more fascinating and makes it universal. This brings the
meaning for the name USB that is Universal
Serial Bus to life.
USB-C is superfast and can transfer data up to the rate of 10
gigabytes/sec. This enables the use of USB-C on 4k monitors. You may find USB-C
port instead of HDMI port in next generation devices. In fact Apple and Google have
taken an initiative and have implemented USB-C in their upcoming MacBook and
Google’s Chromebook Pixel, which has USB-C ports on either side. They also have
an advantage when they serve as headphone jack. Having a USB-C headphone jack
can enhance your audio experience. Unlike 3.5mm jacks it doesn’t convert
digital signal into analog signal. It plays as they are without altering the
signal.
USB-C plays an important role in the future of Electronic
devices. In future we can find USB-C everywhere; it will replace the
conventional USB 2.0 and 3.0 connector ports and surely will be used by all
Electronic devices manufacturers.
All said, USB-C is definitely a major step in
the right direction, and we can’t wait for more companies to start adopting it.
It will mean devices with fewer ports, more flexibility, and better data
transfer speeds, and even better sound.
